Should art Disturb or heal? I do think art can provoke and make us think in new ways.
It may disrupt what we see as the status quo. Yet, great art can help us soar to the Heavens.
Great beauty is in nature and we respond to the depth and heights of such art similar to how a gorgeous landscape produces the "AWE" effect.
In the creation of Elation, I humbly wish to create a structure that is a symbol of beauty, not because I just wish it to be aesthetically pleasing, but because the inspiration is based upon a truth experienced and intuitively, I feel is a structure that repeats in nature.
When I saw the swirling symbol in the opening scene of Vertigo...I knew I had found something. I am re-posting this so you can see it.
