Education of a Mime and Elation

It's been a while since I have written here. Life is a balancing act. If you want to create, you need focus and mine has turned to my writing The Education of a Mime, my memoir of living in Paris in 1981 and part of 1982. At that time, I was studying at Marcel Marceau's school, yet many other experiences happened to me there.

I do not want to continue to shelve Elation, however, because I put too much effort into this project and so I have run off all the pages of the blog to read and compile possibly into a book on depression or Elation.

Putting a structure to a whole body of work is like building a house, which by the way, I don't know much about.

Today, I went for a long walk in Flushing Meadow Park in Queens and was able to unwind. Though it was cold, Spring is in the air. I also went to the Queens Museum of Art in the park which is expanding and they have a wonderful exhibit there that I highly recommend.

Hi Nancy,

You sound as if you are in a good place. I hope your writing goes well, I love the title of your memoir. I think Elation will be turned into something interesting and useful once you set your mind to it. I'm glad you had a good walk in Flushing Meadow Park. I sometimes miss walking in the City. I hope you keep blogging. I like keeping in touch with what's going on for you.
